Kate Cassidy, girlfriend of Liam Payne, speaks out about his passing
Liam Payne’s girlfriend is mourning her devastating loss.
Kate Cassidy, who had been in a relationship with the One Direction singer since 2022, paid tribute to the musician following his passing on Oct. 16 at the age of 31.
“Thank you for all the kind words and love that have been sent my way,” she shared in an Instagram Stories post on Oct. 18. “I am completely lost. Nothing has felt real in the past few days. I kindly ask for grace and space to navigate this privately.”
Kate described the late singer as her “angel.”
“You mean everything to me,” she expressed. “I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and wholeheartedly. I will continue to love you for the rest of my days. I love you Liam.”
Kate and Liam had been on a two-week vacation in Argentina before his passing, even though their original plans were for a five-day trip. She flew back to Florida on Oct. 12, stating on TikTok that she felt a need to return home while he stayed in South America.
“I was so ready to leave,” she mentioned in an Oct. 14 TikTok video. “I love South America, but I dislike staying in one place for too long.”
The 25-year-old added in the caption, “soooo happpiii to b back in sunshine state.”
During their trip, the couple attended concerts, went on bowling dates, tried local cuisine like Argentine Chinese food and Wagyu steak, and indulged in their favorite treats such as McDonald’s, Oreos, and Skittles, as Kate shared in her TikTok vlogs.
