Chris Pratt and Anna Faris got married in 2009. However, after eight years of marriage, the actor from Guardians of the Galaxy and the star of Mom announced their separation, finalizing their divorce the following year.
Although the breakup may have surprised fans, Anna hinted that her life with Chris was not as perfect as it appeared. In fact, the alum of The House Bunny, who was previously married to actor Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008, revealed that she never discussed any problems, even with those closest to her.
“I’m sure my relationship with Ben was more open,” she mentioned on a 2021 episode of her podcast Unqualified, “but with Chris, both of us maintained that facade even among our inner circle.”
Anna, who is now married to cinematographer Michael Barrett, implied that being in the same industry as her ex-husbands did not make things easier.
“My previous marriages were with actors, and I believe we failed to eliminate competitiveness— or at least, I did,” she admitted in another episode of her podcast later that year. “As someone who values pride and avoids showing vulnerability, I did not handle competition and comparison well, and I hope I have learned from that.”
