Kate Hudson brings back memories of her cameo in Home Alone 2
During every holiday season, Kate Hudson earns a little extra money due to her small role in the hit 1992 movie “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”. The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” actress disclosed that she sang in the chorus of the film, and as a result, she still receives royalties whenever the movie airs on TV, particularly in December.
Despite the fact that she was about 12 years old when the movie was filmed, Hudson still receives residuals from her involvement in the film. She mentioned on a podcast episode hosted by her and her brother Oliver Hudson that she receives around 10 cents from time to time.
In the scene where Macaulay Culkin’s character, Kevin McAllister, sings a solo in his school’s Christmas pageant, Hudson’s role as part of the chorus is featured. The scene also includes Devin Ratray playing Kevin’s bullying older brother, Buzz, who tries to embarrass him by putting battery-operated candles behind his ears.
