Lana Del Rey Speaks Out About Dating Rumors with Alligator Tour Guide Jeremy Dufrene
Lana Del Rey has recently been faced with a number of rumors regarding her relationship with Jeremy Dufrene, stemming from a comedic family incident that played out on social media. However, the Born To Die singer has addressed the speculation on Instagram by simply commenting “No” under a post.
On August 31, Del Rey responded to an Instagram post claiming to provide an “update on her new man.” The post suggested that she was romantically involved with Jeremy Dufrene, an alligator tour guide who had recently gone through a divorce. It also hinted that his daughter had supposedly discovered the relationship online, adding more drama to the situation.
The original post included a screenshot supposedly showing Dufrene’s daughter texting him about the news of his relationship with the music icon. The post also featured a screenshot of a user stating, “I barely talk to my dad, let alone care about his love life. I’m just shocked WHO he’s dating.”
All these rumors online prompted Del Rey to deny the gossip. She responded to the post with a straightforward “No” and clarified that the Twitter account in question did not belong to Dufrene’s daughter. The Art Deco singer bluntly stated, “Also, that’s not his daughter on Twitter.”
Del Rey and Dufrene have been seen together, even holding hands at the Reading and Leeds Festival where she headlined, but their exact relationship status remains unclear. It appears that the two have known each other for some time now.
The initial interactions on social media between the pair date back to 2019, after which Del Rey posted other photos, presumably from a swamp tour in New Orleans. At that time, she captioned it, “Jeremy, lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x.” Just this past May, she tagged him in another Instagram post, seemingly referring to him as “my guy.” The caption read, “Family w my guy,” alongside a photo of her with her family.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Vogue, Lana Del Rey mentioned that her upcoming country album Lasso would have a more positive lyrical tone, embodying American country and Southern Gothic styles that are characteristic of her music.
