Another member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan channeling Marilyn Monroe is Kim Kardashian. In 2022, she caused a stir at the Met Gala by donning the screen legend’s original 1962 naked dress.
Speaking to Vogue, Kim described the experience as a challenge, likening it to stepping into a role that she was determined to embody.
During the fitting, the SKIMS founder had to shed 16 pounds in just three weeks to fit into Marilyn’s iconic dress. Kim shared, “I always thought she was extremely curvy, and I tried to imagine how my body would compare to hers.”
Disappointed when the dress didn’t fit perfectly, Kim confessed, “I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all.”
