Kyle Cooke Fires Back at Hannah Berner’s Accusations of Involvement in Her Summer House Firing
Hannah Berner, Summer House’s resident villain, left the Bravo show following backlash for her behavior. Kyle Cooke denied having any role in her firing after Hannah claimed it was due to promoting a different seltzer brand than Loverboy.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Kyle Cooke expressed his upset over Hannah Berner thinking he was involved in her departure over an ad for Truly Hard Seltzer.
“I have nothing to do with casting,” Cooke said, refuting the narrative around his involvement. He also mentioned that Hannah claimed on a podcast that she was unaware of not being able to drink other brands, suggesting this caused her firing.
Cooke, who is married to Berner’s former best friend Amanda Batula, pointed out that Berner’s collaboration with Truly Hard Seltzer happened a year after they filmed the Season 5 reunion, raising questions about the timing of her claims.

Cooke recalled Berner’s behavior towards the cast, especially towards Batula, during Season 5. He emphasized that his concerns were not about screen time or ego clashes but rather how Berner treated Amanda. Cooke mentioned that Berner had apologized after the reunion, but he felt Batula deserved the apology more.
Despite the drama, Cooke appreciated Berner’s success in comedy and podcasting. He revealed sending her a congratulatory message a year ago in an attempt to reconcile. “I hate having lingering issues with anyone in my life and always wished for an opportunity to make things right with Hannah. I want no bad blood and wish her success,” Cooke said.
