Kristin Cavallari Reveals Her Bold Stance on Sunscreen That’s Stirring Debate
Kristin Cavallari isn’t afraid to face criticism for her thoughts on SPF.
The Laguna Beach alum raised doubts about the necessity of using sunscreen in January, but her controversial comments have only recently gained attention.
“I don’t wear sunscreen,” Kristin revealed on the Jan. 16 episode of her Let’s Be Real podcast with guest Dr. Ryan Monahan, a holistic doctor, “and anytime I do an interview, I get a lot of criticism when I admit that I don’t.”
“It’s a contentious issue, considering it’s about the sun,” he said. “Humans have historically been exposed to the sun for most of our existence until the last century. Nowadays, we spend 93 percent of our time indoors. The sun provides life and nourishment.”
The holistic doctor recommended building up your sun tolerance by initially exposing yourself to the sun to avoid burning.
