King: Is Abhay Verma, the famed Munjya, finally confirming his role in the upcoming film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan?
Exciting news for Shah Rukh Khan fans as they eagerly await to watch his upcoming movie, King, on the big screen. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand, this action thriller will be filmed in India and abroad, with production scheduled to start in November this year.
Recently, Pinkvilla reported exclusively that actor Abhay Verma from Munjya has been cast to star alongside SRK, Suhana, and Abhishek Bachchan in King. Verma will be playing a significant role in the film. Moments ago, the young actor shared a post on his Instagram stories, seemingly confirming his involvement in the project.
He posted a photo of himself with today’s date ’08.08.2024’ as a symbol for manifestation, based on numerology, to manifest his dreams. He captioned the post, “No better day to manifest than today!”
In his post, the Ae Watan Mere Watan actor reflected, “If I tell myself as a third person that: This boy came into the city of dreams; dared to dream and manifested things, every single day for him and gave 100 cr in his first film & is getting to work with people he only dreamt! I wouldn’t believe it. (teary-eyed emoji)”

According to a source close to the production, “Abhay Verma has been receiving praise for his performance in Munjya, leading to exciting opportunities. He has secured a major role in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. He is thrilled to be part of this high-profile film.”
While details about his character are being kept under wraps, it is known that he will have a pivotal role in the film. The source also mentioned, “With the script finalized, the production team has identified shooting locations in India and abroad. They are in the final stages of assembling the entire cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan, to begin filming in November 2024.”
Shah Rukh and Suhana will portray mentor and protegee roles in the movie, while Abhishek Bachchan is expected to play the villain.
