King Charles excludes Kate Middleton from important announcement during ongoing cancer treatment of Princess
King Charles has exempted Kate Middleton from major royal appointments before the Garter’s Day event. While the princess is currently undergoing cancer treatment, she shared about her diagnosis in March. Reports suggested that Middleton was not included in the King’s list of appointments and was snubbed from the ceremony.
Before Garter Day, King Charles appointed two significant roles for the chivalry order ceremony. One appointee was named Chancellor of the Order of the Garter and the other was appointed as Master of the Horse.
Who received major appointments from King Charles before Garter Day?
Not only was Kate Middleton skipped for appointments, but other royal family members were also left out. Baroness Manningham-Buller was appointed by King Charles as Chancellor Order of the Garter, a former MI 5 director. Lord Ashton of Hyde was chosen as Master of the Horse, who had previously worked as an insurance broker in the city.
Last year, the Duchess of Cambridge fulfilled the role of Order of the Garter, wearing a black polka dot dress and Princess Diana’s earrings from her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981.
Throughout the year, Middleton has stayed out of the public eye due to undergoing major surgery in January and dealing with cancer.

Kate Middleton’s battle with cancer
On March 22, Middleton revealed her cancer diagnosis after successful surgery. She shared that she had started chemotherapy and planned to return to public life. However, sources close to her suggest a low likelihood of resuming her previous duties.
A source mentioned that Middleton’s team is reconsidering her future roles and she may not return to her previous public position.
King Charles is also undergoing cancer treatment.
