King Charles Makes First Public Appearance Since Cancer Diagnosis
King Charles is making a comeback in the public eye. The 75-year-old recently returned to his public duties after revealing his diagnosis of an undisclosed form of cancer back in February. His first public appearance post-diagnosis took place at a hospital and cancer center in London.
Accompanied by Queen Camilla, Charles visited the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre on April 30. Both Charles and Camilla were seen smiling as they interacted with doctors, patients, and a young well-wisher who presented the King with a bouquet of flowers.
A video shared on the Royal Family’s Instagram Story captured Charles shaking hands and greeting staff during the visit.
It was also announced during the visit that Charles has become the new patron of Cancer Research UK, a role previously held by the late Queen Elizabeth.
