Kill Bill Actor Michael Madsen Detained for Alleged Domestic Battery
Michael Madsen is currently dealing with legal issues.
The frequent Quentin Tarantino collaborator, widely known for his role as Budd in Kill Bill, was taken into custody in the early hours of Aug. 17 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, as per booking records obtained by E! News.
Following his arrest, the 66-year-old was transported to the Lost Hills police station in Los Angeles, where he posted a $20,000 bond and was released later that morning.
According to Los Angeles authorities, as reported by TMZ, Madsen allegedly pushed his wife, DeAnna Madsen, of nearly three decades during the altercation. The police stated that after the incident, Madsen locked his wife out of their Los Angeles home, prompting a call to law enforcement. DeAnna declined medical assistance after her husband’s arrest.
“It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife,” said a spokesperson for the couple to Variety in a statement. “We are hopeful for a positive resolution for both parties.”
E! News has reached out to representatives for Madsen but has not received a response yet.
This is not Madsen’s first encounter with legal issues. In 2022, he was arrested for trespassing in Malibu, California, and was subsequently released on a $500 bail.
