Kevin Feige unveils Marvel Studios’ plan to make the MCU more welcoming to new audiences; Find out how
Some fans enjoy the complex storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while others find it difficult to follow without prior knowledge. The MCU started with Iron Man in 2008 and has grown significantly since then.
Recently, there has been talk about potentially separating the MCU’s film, television, and animation projects to make it easier for new viewers. Marvel President Kevin Feige addressed this in an interview.
Kevin Feige on making MCU more accessible
Feige discussed Marvel Studios’ approach to splitting its projects in an interview with ComicBook to make the MCU more accessible to new viewers.
Marvel Studios, led by Feige, and Marvel Television, led by Jeph Loeb, coexisted for a while, but had synchronization problems. With the merger under Marvel Studios in 2019, the organizational structure changed.
Marvel Studios has now divided its operations into separate divisions while keeping them all under the same brand. Feige explained that this restructuring aims to support the Marvel Animation team, ensuring new viewers are not overwhelmed.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hopefully revive the MCU as a whole
After some underperforming movies, the MCU needs a revival. Fans believe that Deadpool & Wolverine could be the answer, with projections suggesting a strong box office performance.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s return is expected to make the movie a success, potentially surpassing other films in 2024. The success of Deadpool 3 could bring the MCU back to its former glory.
Deadpool & Wolverine releases on July 26 in theaters.
