Kevin Costner to Receive Award at SCAD Savannah Film Festival
The renowned actor and director Kevin Costner has been chosen by the SCAD Savannah Film Festival to receive the esteemed Legend of Cinema Award, as reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter.
Costner will be honored after a screening of Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 on November 1, where he directed and starred in the first part of a grand Western film series. A Q&A session about the film will follow, moderated by myself, featuring questions for Costner alongside cinematographer J. Michael Muro (CAS), costume designer Lisa Lovaas, film editor Miklos Wright (ACE), and re-recording mixer Joe DeAngelis.
Previous recipients of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival’s Legend of Cinema Award include Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Stewart, and Hugh Jackman.
Costner will be joining a prestigious lineup of Hollywood stars attending this year’s edition of the largest university-sponsored film festival in the country, taking place from October 26 to November 2. Other notable figures set to receive honors include Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez), Marisa Abela (Back to Black), Amy Adams (Nightbitch), and many more acclaimed individuals.
