Kesha Changes “TikTok” Lyrics to Include Sean “Diddy” Combs at Coachella
The party don’t stop, but this lyric has.
When Kesha made a surprise appearance at Coachella alongside Reneé Rapp, she altered a long-standing lyric from her song “TikTok” that references Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Instead of the original opening line, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy,” Kesha sang, “Wake up in the morning like f–k P. Diddy” during her April 14 performance. In a video shared on social media, both Kesha and Rapp can be seen holding up their middle fingers.
E! News reached out to representatives for Combs but was unable to obtain a comment.
This change comes amidst legal issues for the rapper and is not the first time Kesha has modified the lyric while performing. Back in November during her Only Love tour in Los Angeles, the 37-year-old sang, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”
This performance occurred the day after Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura—Combs’ former girlfriend of over a decade—filed a lawsuit against the rapper in New York, alleging physical and sexual abuse throughout their relationship.
Two additional lawsuits were filed against the “I’ll Be Missing You” artist that same month for separate alleged incidents of sexual misconduct. Combs denied wrongdoing in each case and reached a settlement with Ventura on November 18.
