Kendrick Lamar Set to Headline 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show
Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to make a comeback on the NFL’s grandest musical platform, this time as the headlining act.
The 17-time Grammy winner will lead the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, as announced by the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation on Sept. 8.
“Rap music remains the most powerful genre to this day,” stated the hip hop artist in a message obtained by E! News. “And I’m here to show the world why. They have chosen the right one.”
In a promotional video for the Super Bowl Halftime Show posted on his Instagram account, Lamar can be seen using a football throwing machine on a football field with an American flag background.
“I am Kendrick Lamar,” declares the 37-year-old, “and I will be performing at Super Bowl 59. Will you be joining me? I hope so. There’s only one chance to win the championship. No second chances. Let’s do this! Boom!”
The rapper also mentioned, “I wouldn’t want you to miss it. See you in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.”
