Matthew Stafford’s Feelings About Kelly Stafford’s Podcast Revealed
Matthew Stafford doesn’t call many audibles when it comes to his personal life.
Although the experienced NFL player is vocal while leading the Los Angeles Rams, he tends to stay out of the play-calling when it comes to his wife Kelly Stafford‘s podcast, The Morning After.
“Matthew and I are complete opposites,” Kelly shared in an exclusive interview with E! News about her nine-year marriage. “I’m an open book. He’s very private. He appreciates what I do with the podcast and how I’ve created something for myself.”
And he generally doesn’t try to change any plays.
“There was one instance during this whole process where he said, ‘Let’s discuss this’,” she recounted about Matthew providing feedback on the podcast she and Detroit-based TV reporter Hank Winchester launched in 2021. “I thought I was talking about how the world has evolved, but it turned out to have an impact on his locker room.”
“So that was the one time he said, ‘Speak about anything you want, but avoid topics that can affect my team’,” the 35-year-old Georgia native shared. “I felt guilty the whole month about that. But overall, he is very supportive.”
