Kelly Ripa’s Fitness Coach Offers a Glimpse of her Exercise Sessions with Daughter Lola
It’s important to adjust your fitness routine as your body changes over time.
When you’re in your 20s, it’s recommended to increase your intensity, lift weights, build muscle, boost your cardio, and strengthen your heart, as it becomes harder as you age.
Once you reach 30, you should decrease the intensity, focus on maintaining and building muscle, and use cardio to support muscle growth.
At 40, building muscle becomes more difficult for women. It’s important to consume enough protein, prioritize strength training, and reduce cardio. Dancing is a great option for enjoyment without high-intensity exercises.
In your 50s, the focus should be on maintaining muscle and keeping cardio at a moderate level, around 65 to 70 percent of your heart rate. In your 60s, prioritize strength training, balance, and recovery.
