Katharine McPhee and others show support to Gary Sinise following the tragic death of his son
The stars are showing support to Gary Sinise during a difficult time.
Following the announcement on social media by the Forrest Gump actor of the passing of his son, McCanna “Mac” Sinise, at the age of 33 after battling Chordoma, a rare bone cancer for five years, many of his former colleagues and friends expressed their condolences.
“Oh Gary,” commented Katharine McPhee, who worked briefly with him on CSI:NY, on his Instagram post from Feb. 27. “I’m so sorry.”
Alyssa Milano added, “I’m so sorry, Gary. My thoughts are with your family. Sending you love and strength.”
In the post, which included a photo of Mac along with his birth and death years, Gary shared a link to a longer statement about his son’s final years.
“We are so sorry Gary,” Law & Order star Angie Harmon wrote in the comments. “You and your family are beloved by many. Our prayers are with all of you. We love you very much.”
