Sumeet Vyas praises Kareena Kapoor Khan’s unrecognized qualities in Veere Di Wedding; reminisces about her dedication to dance post-birth of Taimur
Kareena Kapoor Khan is known as one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in Bollywood. With a career spanning 25 years, she has portrayed a wide range of roles, from Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to Chameli in Chameli, Dolly in Omkara, and Geet in Jab We Met. Kareena’s co-star in Veere Di Wedding, Sumeet Vyas, recently highlighted her often overlooked qualities, such as her discipline on set. He also reminisced about how she shot a dance sequence shortly after giving birth to her son, Taimur Ali Khan.
In a new podcast interview on Digital Commentary, Sumeet Vyas shared his experience of working with Kareena in Veere Di Wedding. He expressed his gratitude for being part of Rhea Kapoor’s production and admired Kareena as a “huge star,” feeling “shocked” to be cast alongside her in the film.
Sumeet mentioned how he had always looked up to big stars, and upon working with them, he realized their discipline and dedication to their craft. He particularly praised Kareena for her patience and preparedness on set, even after being a seasoned star with numerous films under her belt.
He recalled an instance where Kareena shot a dance sequence post delivering Taimur, showcasing her commitment to her work. Despite her busy schedule, she made time for rehearsals and excelled in the performance on set, outshining others who had been practicing for the scene.
Veere Di Wedding, released in 2018, also featured Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania alongside Kareena.
