In a recent interview with journalist Faye D’Souza, Karan Johar mentioned that movie stars often ask for 35 crores as their fee, but fail to deliver at the box office.
He also highlighted the increasing costs in the filmmaking process and how it has led to inflation in the industry. Karan Johar also talked about his approach to handling business expenses.
“There are around 10 viable actors in Hindi cinema, all demanding exorbitant fees. You pay them, invest in the film and marketing, but the film doesn’t perform well,” he explained.
Karan emphasized the challenges of managing expenses, especially when some actors demand high fees. However, he continues to create content to sustain his organization.
