“Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Discusses His Appreciation for Taylor Swift”
It’s the line of questioning Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce can’t escape this week. While he’s mentally and physically preparing to take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, interviewers want to pull back the curtain on his relationship with superstar Taylor Swift. During the Opening Night festivities Monday, Kelce revealed he’s heard some of Swift’s new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” and added, “She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books.” “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too.” While he works toward that hardware, the questions about Swift keep coming. Kelce expanded on their relationship more during a media availability Tuesday and his respect for the pop star. “She’s as much of a professional as anyone I’ve ever met,” he said. “She just has the desire and a love for what she does. You can tell in how she creates things, how she strategically goes about her career. You can tell she loves every single bit of it.” The newest fixture in Chiefs Kingdom brought home multiple Grammy awards Sunday night and became the first artist to win Album of the Year for a fourth time. Of Swift’s influence on him, Kelce said, “So I just take that, and I know that when I come into the building every single day, and I show everybody how much I love it by how I work.” “That’s a lot — that’s respected very much.”
