Tribute Paid by Justin Bieber and Others
Justin Bieber and other celebrities are grieving the loss of a beloved musician.
Chris King (birth name Christopher Cheeks) was fatally shot in Nashville, Tenn., on April 20 in a shooting that also injured others, as confirmed by police in a press release. He was 32.
Chris, along with two friends, was shot during an armed robbery by three suspects between Hayes and Church Streets in Nashville, according to the press release. Another 29-year-old individual who was wounded in the incident reported that three suspects were “socializing amiably” with their group before the situation turned violent.
Upon hearing the news of Chris’ passing, Justin posted a touching tribute to his friend and former roommate on social media.
“Love you bro,” he expressed in an Instagram Story on April 20, as reported by People. “This one hurts. Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother.”
The rapper, also known as the founder of music label Snotty Nose Records, had built a reputation through collaborations with various artists, including fellow rapper Trippie Redd, who also honored him online.
