Jon Gosselin Shares That He Shed Over 30 Pounds with Ozempic
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler revealed that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without knowing its purpose.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she mentioned during the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is good for you.’
Although she gave the medication a try, Handler admitted that she didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“I came back from a trip and administered it to myself,” she remembered. “A few days later, I went out to lunch with a friend who mentioned feeling nauseous because she was on Ozempic. I realized I was feeling the same way, but assumed it was due to jet lag from my trip to Spain.”
In the end, Handler decided to stop using the drug as it wasn’t necessary for her health. She ended up giving the remaining doses to her friends.
“I have given about four or five of my friends injections of Ozempic because I didn’t want to use it myself as it wasn’t needed,” she explained. “It’s meant for overweight individuals. When people come over to my house, I schedule appointments like ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.’
