Jon Bernthal and Jamie Lee Curtis Named Winners
Jon Bernthal and Jamie Lee Curtis won best guest actor and guest actress in a comedy on Night 2 of the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys for their roles as Mikey and Donna Berzatto on FX’s The Bear.
Judy Reyes and Michael Cyril Creighton presented the award for best guest actor. Bernthal was nominated alongside other actors including Matthew Broderick, Ryan Gosling, Christopher Lloyd, Bob Odenkirk, and Will Poulter.
Brie Larson and Courtney McBroom from Lessons in Chemistry presented the award to Curtis, who was nominated with Olivia Colman, Kaitlin Olson, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Maya Rudolph, and Kristen Wiig.
In her acceptance speech, Curtis praised the strength of The Bear in bringing people together and working out their differences on screen.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Curtis talked about the challenge of keeping her guest role on the comedy a secret.
Curtis emphasized the importance of keeping secrets and allowing people to discover things on their own in order to create anticipation and excitement.
