John Cena Reveals Candid Details About Awkward Intimate Scenes
John Cena would do anything for a movie, but he despises filming sex scenes.
The Peacemaker star recently opened up about how challenging those scenes can be, labeling them as the absolute “worst.”
“There is nothing intimate about it,” John shared with Shannon Sharpe on the August 21 episode of Club Shay Shay. “Nothing. It’s really embarrassing.”
The 47-year-old reflected on his notable role in the 2015 film Trainwreck, revealing that he was unaware of the extent of the sex scenes with his co-star Amy Schumer until just before shooting.
“Amy is an angel,” he expressed. “She created such a comfortable environment, and then when I landed the role, they informed me about the sex scene and the elaborate stunt sex they wanted me to perform. They decided to forgo the original lines and focus on this stunt sex scene instead.”
Despite the challenge, John was enthusiastic and even embraced making the sex scene “the most awkward possible” to enhance the comedic aspect of the scene.
