John Cena declares he is retiring from WWE
John Cena is embarking on a new chapter in his life.
The well-known wrestler-turned-actor recently revealed his decision to retire from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after the 2025 season.
“Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE,” John, dressed in a red T-shirt with the words “The Last Time is Now,” declared during a July 6 appearance at Money in the Bank 2024 in Toronto, Canada. “We will create many unforgettable lasts along with all the historic firsts. The 2025 Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber will be my final appearances. And I am here tonight to announce that WrestleMania 2025 in Las Vegas will be my last WrestleMania.”
The 47-year-old expressed his gratitude to WWE fans in Canada for their continuous support and mentioned that his retirement coincides with WWE’s Monday Night RAW program moving to Netflix.
