Joe Manganiello Compliments Actress for Reversing the Aging Process
Joe Manganiello acknowledges that Ming-Na Wen‘s true essence shines through in her reflection.
The actor from True Blood commended his longtime friend for defying the aging process, as the Mulan star received the Timeless Beauty award at the Hollywood Beauty Awards on March 3.
“When we talk about ‘timeless beauty,’ we often associate it with being frozen in time,” Manganiello expressed on the stage in Los Angeles. “But Ming breaks that stereotype.”
He went on to say, “I can attest that she is not stagnant in time or immune to aging—she is actually reversing time.”
To support his claim, Manganiello—who ended his relationship with Sofía Vergara last year—revealed his long-standing friendship with Wen, both alumni of Pittsburg’s Mt. Lebanon High School and Carnegie Mellon University.
“I have seen Ming’s awkward high school photos when she was leading the Science Fiction Fantasy Club,” Manganiello shared. “She is someone who only grows more radiant with each passing year.”
