Jim Parsons reacts passionately to possible follow-up to The Big Bang Theory
Jim Parsons will not be making a comeback to his iconic role anytime soon.
The actor, known for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper on all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory and as the narrator on Young Sheldon, shared that he would only consider reprising the character through “reincarnation” in a future lifetime.
“Never say never to anything,” Parsons told E! News at the Drama League Awards on May 17. “Life is long, hopefully. But I doubt it.”
However, Parsons showed enthusiasm for occasionally revisiting his beloved character, as seen in his appearance as adult Sheldon in the Young Sheldon series finale on May 16, alongside his Big Bang Theory co-star, Mayim Bialik.
“It was a very special experience,” Parsons shared in his upcoming E! interview airing on May 20 at 11 p.m. “The emotions today are quite surreal. It’s the second time now, as it felt like this when we concluded The Big Bang Theory. A bit different, though.”
