Day 2 Box Office Collections of Jigra: Alia Bhatt leads the way as jailbreak-drama sees 50% increase on Dussehra Saturday
Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala and starring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Manoj Pahwa, and others, had a 50 percent growth on the Dussehra holiday. With Rs 6.75 crore on Saturday, the two-day total for the jailbreak drama is Rs 11.25 crore. Jigra is expected to have an Rs 18 crore weekend, which is not considered an optimal result. The movie will need to maintain strong numbers after the weekend to achieve a respectable final total.
Jigra Grows By 50 Percent On Dussehra Saturday
Jigra was initially behind Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on the first day but managed to match the comedy-drama’s collections on the second day. If Jigra surpasses Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on Sunday, it is likely to perform well during the weekdays and become the preferred Hindi film this Dussehra. The Alia Bhatt starrer has opened bigger and is trending better than its competition internationally.
Although Jigra is leading Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, the comparison is not significant due to the difference in the scale and value of both films. Jigra is a bigger film in terms of production cost and face value.
The Indian Box Office This Dussehra Is Dominated By Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan
This Dussehra belongs to the Tamil film Vettaiyan, led by superstar Rajinikanth. The battle for the second spot is between the two major Hindi releases. Jigra has already recovered its costs through non-theatrical rights sales. The film’s success, however, will be determined by its theatrical performance.
