Jessica Alba Gets Emotional When She Realizes Her 16-Year-Old Daughter Is Taller Than Her
Jessica Alba shared a poignant moment in her life that brought her to tears. Speaking with People Magazine, the actress revealed that she was overwhelmed with emotion when she discovered that her 16-year-old daughter was taller than her.
Reflecting on a picture of herself and her daughter Honor standing side by side, Alba experienced a wave of emotions.
Jessica Alba Emotional Over Daughter’s Growth
During her interview, Alba recalled a moment during the pandemic when a friend pointed out that Honor was taller than her. This realization brought her to tears as she realized how quickly her children were growing up.
She tearfully told Honor, “Oh my God, you’re taller than me.” The actress was moved by the passage of time and how her children were maturing.
Alba also expressed her struggle with Honor’s independence as she grows older. She shared that Honor doesn’t want her parents to plan her birthday parties anymore, which was a difficult adjustment for Alba.
In addition to Honor, Alba is a mother to Haven and Hayes, whom she shares with her husband, Cash Warren.
Alba is coming to terms with her daughter’s height as she grows taller than her. She joked about Honor putting her elbow on her shoulder and asserting her independence, but Alba still sees herself as the boss.
