Jesse Plemons Speaks Out on Ozempic Speculation During Weight Loss Transformation
Ozempic has had a serious impact on the comedian. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed the medication without her knowing what it was.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she admitted during the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is a good option.'”
However, Handler mentioned that she didn’t enjoy the effects of the drug.
“I returned from a trip and gave myself an injection,” she remembered. “A few days later, I met a friend for lunch, and she mentioned feeling nauseous because of Ozempic. I realized I was feeling the same way, but attributed it to jet lag from my recent vacation to Spain.”
In the end, Handler decided to stop using Ozempic because it wasn’t necessary for her health. She gave the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve injected about four or five of my friends with Ozempic, as I didn’t want to continue using it since it wasn’t suitable for me,” she explained. “It’s intended for people struggling with weight. When friends visit me, I schedule appointments like a doctor – ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.'”
