Despite ongoing speculation of a split, the Hustlers star posted a heartfelt tribute to her nearly two-year husband with a touch of nostalgia.
“Our hero,” she declared on her Instagram Stories, along with a white heart emoji, sharing a picture of Affleck as Capt. Rafe McCawley in Pearl Harbor. “Happy Father’s Day!”
Michael Bay‘s hit movie was released in May 2001, just seven months before Lopez and Affleck crossed paths on the set of Gigli and kicked off their relationship. They became engaged in 2002, only to split in 2004.
Fast forward to 2021 and the two stars, now divorced with kids—J.Lo, 54, has twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck, 51, and ex-wife Jennifer Garner are parents to Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12—reignited their romance and tied the knot a year later.
