Jennifer Fox, the Oscar-nominated film producer, has been announced by Academy president Janet Yang to produce the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2024 Governors Awards. This will be Fox’s sixth time overseeing the event, having previously worked on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th editions.

At the 15th Governors Awards, scheduled to take place at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on Sunday, Nov. 17, Quincy Jones and Juliet Taylor will be receiving honorary Oscars. Additionally, Richard Curtis will be honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will be presented with the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award.

“Jennifer is an exemplary producer, and we are delighted to welcome her back to the Governors Awards for a sixth time,” stated Yang. “Her expertise is unmatched, and we’re looking forward to a joyous event.”

Starting her career in development and production at Universal Pictures, Fox has worked on various films, including Erin Brockovich. She then collaborated with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney’s production company, Section Eight, for six years on acclaimed titles such as Syriana, Good Night, and Good Luck, The Informant!, and A Scanner Darkly. Her film credits also include Duplicity, The Bourne Legacy, We Need to Talk about Kevin, Nightcrawler, Roman J. Israel, Esq., Velvet Buzzsaw, The Report, The Last Duel, and the upcoming Magazine Dreams.
