Drake Bell Reveals How Brian Peck Manipulated Him
Bell explained how Peck intentionally drove a wedge between him and his father, Joe Bell, who also featured in the ID series and supported his son’s story. This manipulation allowed Peck to spend more time with Drake, a teen actor with a recurring role on “The Amanda Show” before landing his own show, “Drake & Josh,” in 2004.
Bell recounted how Peck would take him to auditions and then insist he stay over at his place, claiming it was too late to drive back. One night, Bell awoke on the couch (where he always slept) to find Peck sexually assaulting him.
“I was frozen in shock, unsure how to react,” Bell recalled. Despite Peck apologizing, the abuse continued, and Bell kept silent, fearing it would ruin his career if revealed.
Eventually, Bell confided in his mother, who immediately contacted the police. Detectives had Bell provide a detailed account of the abuse and orchestrated a phone call with Peck where he confessed. Peck was arrested on August 20, 2003.
