Jeezy Refutes Ex Jeannie Mai’s “Highly Troubling” Abuse Accusations
Jeezy is pushing back against the accusations made by his estranged wife Jeannie Mai.
In response to The Real alum’s court filings in their divorce case alleging abuse during their relationship, the rapper swiftly issued a denial.
“The allegations are completely false and deeply troubling, especially considering they are coming from someone I once cared for,” said Jeezy, who has a 2-year-old daughter named Monaco with Jeannie, in a statement to E! News on April 25. “This malicious attempt to damage my reputation and disrupt my family is unfounded.”
“It’s sad to see the manipulation and dishonesty at play, and my top priority now is being an involved father to our daughter while I continue to fight for joint custody as mandated by the court,” he added. “Rest assured, the truth will come to light through proper legal channels.”
E! News has reached out to Jeannie’s representative for a response to Jeezy’s remarks but has not received a reply.
In her April 25 court filings, submitted in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court and obtained by E! News, Jeannie stated that “ensuring the safety and well-being of our child while in the father’s care has been my primary concern since learning of his desire for a divorce.”
