Jason Kelce Lands Exciting New Opportunity Post-NFL Career
She agreed to marry him! However, it was only after enduring some of Jason’s nonsense.
On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast on September 7, the couple recounted their engagement story. Jason was honest about not being a “romantic” person.
The NFL star popped the question to Kylie in the car as they were leaving her parents’ house.
“I couldn’t think of a discreet way to go back into the house,” he explained, “because if I had said, ‘Hey, I need to talk to your dad for a moment,’ it would have been suspicious.”
So, Jason went with, well, option number two: “When we got in the car, I said, ‘Ky, I’m sorry but I have to go to the bathroom.'”
However, Kylie immediately sensed that Jason was scheming something when he returned a few minutes later. “He came back out and I said, ‘Jason, I know you didn’t just use the bathroom, it usually takes you 20 minutes.’
Jason then dispensed with the nonsense and got right to the point.
“He said, ‘This isn’t the most romantic way to do this,'” Kylie recounted, “and I started crying instantly because I understood what was happening only because he mentioned being romantic.”
