Adil Hussain from Ulajh reveals hesitance to discuss Sridevi with Janhvi Kapoor: ‘Can’t fathom the sorrow…’
Janhvi Kapoor and Adil Hussain recently starred in the movie Ulajh, which has received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Hussain, who previously worked with Janhvi’s late mother, Sridevi, shared his experience of working with Janhvi and reminiscing about her mother.
In an interview with News18 in Showsha, Adil shared fond memories of working with the late Sridevi and mentioned how effortlessly Janhvi portrayed him as her father, drawing on the connection he had with her late mother.
When asked if they talked about the late actress, Adil mentioned, “It’s hard for me to bring her up. My heart aches; I can’t even digest or understand that she’s not there. I can’t even imagine the pain Janhvi probably still feels.”
Adil Hussain revealed that his mother recently passed away at the age of 95, so he didn’t feel comfortable discussing the loss of a young mother. Instead, he and Janhvi reminisced about their previous encounter on the set of English Vinglish.
Regarding whether star kids have an advantage in showbiz, Adil Hussain explained that while they may have initial benefits due to their industry connections, they also face a significant burden. He emphasized that talent and authenticity are essential, as the camera captures every detail, showing a person’s vulnerability and capabilities.
Adil, who plays Janhvi’s father in the film, praised her, saying it was a pleasure to work with her. He described their on-screen relationship as natural and affectionate, thanking the director, Sudhanshu Saria, for the opportunity.
