Jamie Foxx Opens Up About 20-Day Absence During Health Scare of 2023
Jamie Foxx has not revealed much about the “medical complication”—referred to as such by his family—that he experienced in April 2023.
However, he did share some additional alarming details about the unspecified health scare at an event in downtown Phoenix, as reported by The Art of Dialogue. They posted a snippet of undated video from the conversation on X (formerly Twitter).
Foxx fell ill while in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie Back in Action, where he starred alongside Cameron Diaz in her first role since their appearance together in 2014’s Annie.
According to the clip, on April 11, 2023, the Oscar winner experienced a severe headache. “I asked my friend for an Advil,” he mentioned.
Snapping his fingers, Foxx revealed, “I was out for 20 days. I have no recollection of anything.”
He shared that his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Foxx took him to a doctor who administered a cortisone shot. He then mentioned that a second doctor informed him, “‘There’s something happening up there,'” pointing to his head.
