Reflecting on his visits, Jack shared, “I enjoyed the unique feeling I got from certain homes. It was all about the connection with the homeowners. Each property had a story, purpose, and intention behind it.”
For the 50-year-old, showing gratitude to each homeowner was important. “You can’t just show up empty-handed,” Jack explained. “That’s why I always brought them a nice HGTV travel mug and followed up with a handwritten ‘thank you’ letter after every visit. It was a really enjoyable experience.”
Jack emphasized the bravery and vulnerability it takes for homeowners to invite strangers into their homes. “I was truly grateful that they welcomed us in,” he said.
