Demi Lovato Sets Age Limit for Her Future Kids to Pursue Acting: ‘It’s Not Happening Before…’
Pop star Demi Lovato recently discussed her plans for setting boundaries for her future children, particularly if they choose to pursue acting as a career. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she shared her own childhood experiences on TV show sets and expressed her desire to shield her children from the spotlight until they reach 18.
She emphasized the importance of allowing her kids to have a normal childhood, something she didn’t have herself. Lovato mentioned that she would encourage her children to study music theory and wait until they are 18 before pursuing a career in show business.
Additionally, Lovato, who is engaged to Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, mentioned that she would give her children the option to explore different paths outside of the entertainment industry.
Having started her own career in Hollywood at the age of nine, Lovato understands the challenges that come with growing up in the spotlight. She reflected on how being a child star changes family dynamics, especially when the child becomes the primary breadwinner.
Despite the early success and recognition she received at a young age, Lovato expressed gratitude and excitement for her career. She mentioned that her journey to fame felt like a honeymoon phase before things intensified.
Child Star, a docuseries featuring Lovato, will debut on Hulu on September 17.
