Liam Neeson discusses retirement plans and teases Naked Gun reboot in candid interview
Liam Neeson has had a successful career in Hollywood, landing iconic roles in popular movies that have elevated his status above many others.
Recently, Neeson sat down for an interview with People Magazine where he discussed his onscreen characters, retirement plans, and details about the upcoming reboot of Naked Gun.
During the interview, the Love Actually actor opened up about how he connected with moviegoers and gained a strong fan base as an action star, saying, “It just seemed to have touched something in the psychic nerve of moviegoing audiences.”
In addition to his action roles, Neeson has also appeared in films set in law and courtrooms. He recently participated in jury duty in Northern Ireland and shared his experience of not being selected for the trial.
Regarding retirement plans, Neeson mentioned that he may soon stop performing action scenes as he doesn’t want to deceive audiences. He hinted at the possibility of retiring from action roles around 2025.
Before retiring, Neeson will star in the upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun alongside Pamela Anderson, whom he complimented as “funny” and expressed admiration for.
In addition to The Naked Gun reboot, Neeson is set to star in Absolution, which will be released on November 1.
