Ishaan Khatter affirms his belief in monogamy and envisions a future with ‘family, kids’ amid speculation about his relationship with Chandni Bainz; ‘I’m just a straightforward guy’
Ishaan Khatter has been causing a stir on the internet with his role in the international series, The Perfect Couple. His love life also garners attention due to rumors of a romance with Chandni Bainz. In a recent conversation, the actor shared his belief in monogamy and his desire to start a family and have kids.
In a new interview with The Dirty Magazine, the Dhadak actor candidly discussed transitioning into his 30s. He mentioned having more self-belief and aspiring to reach his true potential as an artist and actor. The 28-year-old also expressed his desire to have a family.
Speaking about family and kids, Ishaan Khatter said, “But I also think of having a family, kids. I’m simple like that. I hopefully want to do it once, one and done. I do believe you can have one partner, be monogamous.” He elaborated on his viewpoint, mentioning his experiences in his 20s and his newfound respect for the idea of a committed relationship.
“Like if you find someone. So whenever I’ve felt real connection in my life, genuine connection that’s more than just chemistry and comfort, I would like to be idealistic and think that maybe I can, you know, hold on to it. If I do it, I want to do it with that sense of abandon and that sense of belief,” Ishaan concluded.
During the same conversation, the Phone Bhoot actor confessed to having a “special someone” in his life. He emphasized his desire to keep his private life private, especially considering the challenges of being in a relationship with someone less established who may be affected by media attention.
On the professional front, Ishaan’s series, The Perfect Couple, premiered on Netflix on September 5, 2024. The American mystery drama stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, and Dakota Fanning, and is based on a bestselling novel by Elin Hilderbrand. Ishaan’s upcoming project is The Royals.
