Isabella Strahan Provides an Update on Her Health Journey Post-Chemo Treatment
Isabella Strahan has reached a significant milestone in her recovery journey from brain cancer.
The 19-year-old daughter of Michael Strahan recently underwent a procedure to have her chemotherapy port removed.
“All gone. But the only thing that’s very sore is where the actual port was,” Isabella said in a hospital video shared on her YouTube vlog on July 17, later mentioning, “It hurts to laugh or move around.”
The USC student, who faced medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, shared information about the post-operative care instructions she received.
“The recovery process involves four weeks of avoiding water and similar activities,” she explained, “just being cautious, and scar care. Not too bad.”
Isabella, one of Good Morning America cohost Michael Strahan’s twin daughters with ex Jean Muggli, included footage in her vlog of herself in hospital rooms themed after Scooby Doo and Inside Out.
“Here’s the other side of the room with Mom,” she said, showing her mother near Inside Out decorations, “and Anger and Sadness.”
