Michael continued, “There are times when I look back and realize that in order to provide the life I have for my children, I had to make sacrifices.”
Michael Jr. and Tanita returned to the U.S. and attended high school in their father’s hometown of Houston. According to People, they later pursued studies in psychology and art respectively at college.
In 2012, Michael described Tanita as having a strong, yet reserved personality similar to his. He praised her intelligence and assertiveness, saying “She’s not one to seek attention, but she knows what she wants.”
He mentioned that Michael Jr. is a very intelligent and particular young man.
Michael reflected, “My kids have their own personalities and ambitions. They are focused on carving their own paths. I am pleased to see their independence.”
