Wes Scantlin allegedly engaged in an altercation with law enforcement and was reportedly pepper sprayed after resisting arrest. TMZ reports that police were seeking the singer over allegations of carrying a weapon at the airport. The Burbank PD informed the media that they trailed Scantlin’s black Hummer for traffic violations. Upon requesting his ID, they discovered he was in violation of rules and had a warrant for carrying a weapon at the airport.
Further reports state that Scantlin repeatedly refused to exit the vehicle when asked by officers. Despite the presence of a crisis negotiator, the situation escalated as SWAT arrived, eventually leading to the use of pepper balls to subdue him.

Following the incident, Scantlin was taken to the hospital due to red eyes from the pepper balls. He is reportedly stable, and after being discharged, he was booked for an outstanding warrant. He was later cited and released with a court date set for August 20th. Past records revealed multiple charges against the singer, including drug, alcohol, and financial issues.
In 2017, Scantlin admitted himself to rehab due to addiction struggles. He has a history of arrests for various reasons, including a drug bust in 2015 and subsequent arrests in 2017 and 2023.
