Season 3 of Invincible will bring a dark new phase for Mark Grayson, as he debuts a new blue and black suit. Invincible unveils Mark’s iconic blue and black suit
At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Invincible offered a first look at Season 3, showcasing Mark in the iconic blue and black suit from the original comics. Creator Robert Kirkman teased that this era would mirror the comics, known for being the darkest and most intense phase of Mark’s journey as Invincible.
“Heading into the third season, it felt like the right time to showcase a new Mark after everything he went through in Season 2. He’s in a different mindset, reflected in his costume,” Kirkman explained. “Readers of the comic series know that the blue suit era of ‘Invincible’ is the darkest and most intense, with significant events on the horizon.”
As for what to expect in Invincible Season 3, Kirkman teased an escalation of events. “Season 2 built on the groundwork laid in Season 1, raising the stakes and exploring more outlandish scenarios. Season 3 will see these bigger stories come crashing down,” Kirkman revealed.
If the series follows the original comics, Mark is in for a tough ride ahead. While a release date for Season 3 is yet to be announced, Season 4 has already been confirmed.
Kirkman previously mentioned that work on Season 3 started alongside Season 2, reducing the wait time between seasons. “We worked on Season 2 and Season 3 simultaneously. Unfortunately, we’re too far into Season 3 to learn from Season 2, but we’re learning how best to adapt the show,” Kirkman noted.
