“Kirsten Dunst’s Journey to Love: A Look Inside Her Relationship with Jesse Plemons”
Upon reading the script for Civil War, she decided to take on the role, despite never having done anything like it before.
When Plemons was added to the production last minute, having this real-life couple on set did not add any extra drama.
“We fell in love creatively first because we fell in love on a set,” Dunst explained. “I think we’ll always go back to that, but not in a way that involves our real life. We don’t even talk to each other on set. We give each other space.”
However, this dynamic only applies during working hours.
“I enjoy working with him,” Dunst shared. “We trust each other a lot. He even sent me a scene from his miniseries last night to get my opinion on. If I’m having trouble deciding on something, I have him read it. I value his opinion the most, and he cares about me the most.”
She also pointed out that they share the same dislikes, which is important to her.
Despite being blown away by his chilling performance, Dunst still emphasized his kindness on Late Night With Seth Meyers in April. “He’s an incredibly talented actor,” she praised.
While Dunst and Meyers have had success working together, there are many other couples who have fallen in love on set.
