Missing Passengers’ Identities Unveiled
More details are coming to light regarding the tragedy in Sicily.
Following the sinking of a super yacht in a storm while anchored off the Italian island on August 19, authorities have confirmed the identities of the six passengers who are still missing.
According to Director of Sicily’s Civil Protection Agency Salvatore Cocina as reported by NBC News, those missing include British tech mogul Mike Lynch and his daughter, Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife, and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife.
Cocina did not reveal the names of Lynch’s daughter, as well as Morvillo and Bloomers’ spouses, however, the latter two have been identified as Judy Bloomer and Neda Morvillo by their husband’s employers.
It was previously confirmed by Cocina that Lynch’s wife Angela Bacares was rescued. Their 18-year-old daughter Hannah is still among the missing passengers, as reported by NBC News.
While the six passengers are still missing, the body of the ship’s cook, Ricardo Thomas, an Antiguan citizen as reported by Antiguan News Room, was previously recovered from the water.
