Ice Spice Set to Make Acting Debut in Spike Lee Film
Ice Spice is set to make her acting debut on the big screen.
A source close to production informed E! News on April 10 that the rapper known as “Think U the S–t” will be appearing in director Spike Lee‘s upcoming film High and Low.
Ice Spice, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston, will have a small role and will be featured in one scene of the Apple Original movie, according to an insider.
In addition to Ice Spice, Denzel Washington will be taking on a leading role in the English-language adaptation of Akira Kurosawa‘s 1963 crime thriller, marking his fifth collaboration with director Spike Lee, reports Variety.
Although Ice Spice is new to acting, she has previous experience in film. She collaborated with Nicki Minaj and Aqua on the song “Barbie World” for the Barbie movie last year, as well as starring in her own music videos. She was also directed by Taylor Swift in the “Karma” remix and music video, where she received glowing reviews.
