Jodie Sweetin Reveals What Item She Snuck Away From Fuller House Set: A Giant…
Jodie Sweetin attempted to take a souvenir from the Fuller House set—the Sea Pappy statue at the base of the Tanner house stairs. She couldn’t carry the whole statue, so she settled for the head, but she was caught in the act!
During a chat with PEOPLE while promoting her back-to-school partnership with OLLY, the actress who played Stephanie shared the hilarious incident. John Stamos, who played her uncle in the show, famously took the blue and white checkered sofa from the Tanner house.
Although Sweetin’s attempt to take a souvenir wasn’t successful, she struggled with carrying the statue head. She said, “I attempted to take the whole thing, but it was rather unwieldy. On the night of the show’s wrap, it was hard to get out of there without anyone noticing that I was carrying a giant statue.”
Unfortunately, when she tried to leave with just the head, she was stopped. The team told her, “You can’t take that until we inventory it.” So, she joked about trying to steal the Sea Pappy head.
Eventually, the team gifted her the head in an exciting way. She received it at her door a couple of weeks later. Sweetin described it as the best moment and revealed that she put a sticky note on the head to claim it as her own.
During an appearance on Bob Saget’s podcast in 2021, Sweetin talked about her experience with the Sea Pappy head. She mentioned receiving a Styrofoam replica since the team recreated the wooden one.
Bob Saget jokingly said he would have helped her take the whole statue, to which Sweetin replied, “Somewhere, there’s a headless Sea Pappy.” You can watch all five seasons of Fuller House on Netflix!
